Curtiss-Wright addresses the demands for increased data and signal processing performance, along with flexible interfaces for handling sensor I/O, through our full line of FPGA processor cards. Our rugged FPGA cards supporting Xilinx FPGA devices are designed to perform reliably in the harshest military environments. Available in 3U, 6U and XMC form factors, they offer flexible interfaces for handling sensor I/O and support the long lifecycle of defense and aerospace programs by offering backward pin compatibility to enable easier migration from generation to generation.

Curtiss-Wright FPGA cards are supported by Linux and VxWorks Board Support Packages (BSPs), as well as FPGA toolkits that include IP cores for all FPGA interfaces, full reference designs implementing the cores, simulation test benches with bus functional models (BFMs), timing and placement constraints, compile and simulation scripts, and documentation. Complete your system with a compatible processor card, GPGPU, or switch module.

FPGA processor cards are typically used for front-end sensor processing. Therefore, they are usually tightly coupled with analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) or digital-to-analog converters (DACs). This can be done via FPGA Mezzanine Cards (FMCs), monolithic ADC-DAC-FPGA modules, or via high-speed SERDES signals. FPGA modules also contain directly attached SDRAM for large data buffers or storage and SRAMs for low latency memory transactions. Designed to fit the most rugged military applications, these COTS building blocks enable application stability and predictability. The FPGA products are qualified over full temperature range exercising all interfaces to enable rapid deployment of Curtiss-Wright FPGA cards in rugged air-cooled or conduction-cooled applications.

Yes, JavaScript is distributed in source form, but here are several free JavaScript VMs on "each" device already. But not FPGA synthesis tool, even if user buy FPGA card, because synthesis tool is separate product, which costs a lot of money.

If the cooling requirements are not met, the BMC (Board Management Controller) will shut down the card to protect it from overheating. Check the data sheet of the applicable Intel FPGA PAC and adjust the fan speed via the BIOS if applicable.

A couple of weeks ago @rombik_su in a Twitterthread pointed out avery cheap FPGA accelerator card on eBay. The board contains a proprietarySamtec board-to-board connector, most likely carrying power, PCI Express, andauxiliary signals (JTAG, IPMI to BMC, ...), two QSFP cages, DDR3 and a largeFPGA, hidden under the heatsink.

The firstlinkon Google (or should I have used Bing? would the FPGAs be aware that I amlooking for information about them?) for "microsoft catapult stratix v"presented some conceptually similar cards, but not exactly the same.

The paper also mentions "widely-used OpenCompute server" which could give outsome information about the pinout on the Samtec connector. Since there arenumerous formats for mezzanine cards standardized by the OpenCompute project, and finding the matching one is not trivial, I decided to leave this task forlater.

The company Gigabyte Technology created an i-RAM card which used a Xilinx FPGA although a custom made chip would be cheaper if made in large quantities. The FPGA was chosen to bring it quickly to market and the initial run was only to be 1000 units making an FPGA the best choice. This device allows people to use computer RAM as a hard drive.[55]

Unfortunately, the FMC connector is the only variable Vccio IO options... though Digilent did an excellent job on both boards. I've use a number of FMC mezzanine cards on both platforms with excellent results. I haven't tried doing any wide LVDS busses on either board but Digilent will provide PCB trace length reports for both boards if you ask. That's pretty much all you can ask for if you need to design your own FMC mezzanine card for either board, 041b061a72
